Originally from Nashville, Steve is a former martial arts instructor with a second degree black belt. For as long as he can remember, he has loved drawing his own creations and how to build them. After earning his Bachelor’s in Architecture and Environmental Design and Master’s in Architecture from Ball State University, he worked at several firms in Southern Maine, as well as in Indiana and Massachusetts. Steve’s experience doesn’t stop at practicing architecture; he has taught design at several schools including Endicott College and the Fiddlehead School of Arts and Sciences.
As a Maine Licensed Architect, he particularly enjoys residential projects. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), a LEED Accredited Professional, and a Maine Third Party Building Inspector. Steve enjoys the holistic experience of working with clients—from initial meetings, drawing the design, coordinating how it gets built, to seeing the client enjoy it.
These days, Steve enjoys biking, hiking, kayaking, and photography, along with spending time with his two daughters.
